Clinical Study
Testing the drug Fluticasone Propionate in adults with eosinophilic esophagitis
Eosinophilic esophagitis is a disease that affects the lining of the tube between your mouth and stomach. This study will test a drug called fluticasone propionate to treat adults with this disease. The study wants to see if the drug will help people with the disease and is safe. People in this study will be randomly chosen to be treated with fluticasone propionate or a placebo. The drug and placebo are taken as a swallowed pill. Later in the study, people on the placebo can be switched to the drug. Being in this study requires up to 15 study visits at the clinic over 48 weeks. Medical tests will be done during the study to track the health of participants.
