Testing the drug XEN1101 in adults with epilepsy

This study will test a new study drug called XEN1101 to help patients with epilepsy. Epilepsy is a disease that may occur due to a genetic disorder or brain injury. This condition affects the nerves in the brain causing seizures. The study wants to see if XEN110 will help people with the disease and is safe. People in this study will all receive XEN1101 once a day. The drug is taken as a swallowed pill. Being in the study requires regular clinic visits for about 8 months during participation. Medical tests will be done during the study to track the health of participants.

Who can participate?

 Gender: All

 Age: Over 18 years old

 Volunteers: Volunteers with special conditions

 Location: In Person


Inclusion Criteria:

  • Ages 18 to 75 years old
  • Successfully completed Study X-TOLE2, X-TOLE3, or X-ACKT
  • Willing to use specific birth control
  • Able to attend in person at the University of Utah

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant prior to 6 months after the last dose of study drug
  • Planning to enter a study with a different study drug or device for the treatment of epilepsy
  • Any other medical condition during the study and until 28 days after completing the study
